After being approached by a concerned resident, Will organised a group of volunteers to clear up the path leading to the allotment behind the behind the Wilton Lane estate. Over growing trees blocking sunlight into homes, rubbish thrown into bushes and fly tipping are a big problem and dog walkers and residents alike were pleased to see action being taken after years of neglect.
Will also arranged a petition which was taken around the estate by local residents and delivered it to Redcar & Cleveland Council. The petition calls on the Council to take action in trimming trees so that residents are not deprived of sunlight and to ensure that more than half of the estate is cleared when work is carried out.
Will said "Residents have told me that they feel completely abandoned by the council on the estate. This is unfortunately an experience which is being shared by far too many across East Cleveland, we need to ensure that Guisborough and the other East Cleveland towns and villages start to get a fairer deal from the council and I will continue to campaign to ensure they do."
