Dear Mr Robinson
I hope you are well. This letter will paint a picture of some of the issues which have been brought to my attention in Nunthorpe:
Certain roads have been picked out for special attention to their poor state namely:
Clevegate
The Avenue
Guisborough Road
Marton Road
Can you please provide me with the Council’s current planned road improvements programme for Nunthorpe and the surrounding areas for this financial year and the next. If these roads are not on the program, I urge serious consideration for them to be added.
Lamppost in tree
With this letter you will find a picture of a lamppost which was moved 40 yards down Whernside and placed into a tree. You will see for yourself that this is an apparently ludicrous situation which seriously damages the council’s legitimacy in the eyes of the public. It is of the utmost importance that when work such as this is carried out, it is done with a degree of common sense. Clearly placing a street light so that the bulb is completely covered by foliage is nonsensical.
As ever, I hope that you will be able to reply to me within the next fortnight so that I can inform Nunthorpe residents of progress.
I look forward to your response.
Kind regards
Will Goodhand
(Prospective Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Middlesbrough South & East Cleveland)
