Young people from across Guisborough and East Cleveland came to see what was on offer at the East Cleveland Apprenticeship Fair on Friday at Prior Pursglove College. Nick Boles MP the Minister in charge of Apprenticeships was also on hand to discuss government policy with the businesses and training providers who attended between 2-4pm. Will said "Despite the rain, it was great to see young people engaging with their futures. My team and I were outside Laurence Jackson school handing out leaflets as they left school to let them know that they could come and talk to local colleges and businesses - this along with many students at Prior Pursglove itself meant we got nearly 100 young people through the door. Parents were bringing their children after they had read about it on facebook and it was great to see local businesses taking an interest in local youngsters futures as well. My thanks go to everyone who took part, the college for hosting us and the students for coming along. I hope this to be the first of many such fairs in our area and hopefully we will get bigger and bigger everytime!"
